We were established in 2012 and our business has been built on solving problems and providing our customers with a phenomenal service. Our first major highways project, the A46 Newark to Widmerpool road widening scheme, has led to supply and installation of concrete barriers and haulage solutions to many other first class highway and construction projects around the country.
Building on a strong family tradition
The first class service we offer you is based on a long family heritage. It began in Ireland back in the 1940s, when John Clarke founded a building contracting firm and in-house joinery workshop.
About APC
In 1991, John’s son Donal set up Ardee Precast Concrete Ltd. He still manages the business, which is APC Civils’ parent company, today.
Based in Old Dalby, APC Civils is headed up by Donal’s son, Shane. From the start, Shane built the business on the family’s reputation for exceptional quality products and services to the construction industry. He has since overseen the growth of a service that has high standards throughout, from barrier solutions and work on site, to health and safety and compliance.
Since the inception of APC Civils Ltd in 2012, the company has grown and has supplied its concrete barriers on multiple projects. Now with an Operator License, a growing haulage fleet and its 1 acre site with secure outdoor storage facilities for construction materials, the company is looking forward to extending its services.

Our in-house expertise is backed up by National Highway Sector Scheme 2B accreditation for the supply, installation, lifting, maintenance and repair of road restraint systems. We have a track record of zero reportable and non-reportable incidents. We deliver over and above on health and safety and our processes and manuals are externally audited by an independent consultant. We are happy to provide you with relevant documentation, including inspections, training and CSCS/CPCS cards. We’ll provide you with a risk assessment and method statement for every project.
